$50 off until September 11th.
We should be caught up on Castellan orders by next week, so we are putting it on special for a week (and a few days) -- it appears to be somewhat of a "sleeper,: but it is a sweet sword.
Best,
Howy

Well, I for one love the Castellan design. It's a nice change from all of the Black Prince Inspired designs out there. Unfortunately I'm tapped out for this year but the Castellan will most likely end up being my "Tax Refund Sword". Hmmm, I think it will need a bright colored grip. How about orange?

...(that boy just ain't right)...
While I don't think I can afford another Next Gen just yet, I have always really liked the Castellan. In fact, I'm really surprised to hear that it's a sleeper.

Now, orange is a perfectly healthy choice.... Actually, I recently drew up a sword design with an orange tinged handle and blackened fittings and I think that would be pretty cool.
On the subject at hand, I fine the Castellan quite attractive. Can't afford one, but wish I could. Ofcourse, I've said that about most of the Albion line most likely. Well, til I can win the lottery, anyway...

I was waiting for some sort of sarcastic comment from you
What can I say? I have a sword with a yellow grip, one with a violet grip, and now I want one with an orange grip. The more ostentatious the better. . . well at least on a few of them.

Mine will be coming in next week with a blue grip.
As for other XVa's, I have the old MRL Black Prince, the first sword I ever bought. It will be interesting to compare it to the Castellan, though I'm sure the MRL will suffer mightily in that comparison. MRL recently had a short-lived Castillon sword, taken from some of the same sources that Peter used, and looking superficially the same as the new Albion sword.

Hey, I got mine. I've been on hiatus from the forums for a while - but back lately.
Nifty sword. Feels substantial, but well balanced.
I specially like the grip style on mine -- of course they're probably all alike. The grip is narrow at the guard, but swells nicely toward the middle. Good for the forward hand -- and the pommel makes a great 2nd hand grip.
