I just received my Viceroy today and I have to say "WOW!" This blade is simply amazing. It's a big blade, and really packs a punch. Yet it's light and maneuverable. Easily being put through its paces.
I had them blacken the fittings and the wrap is a dark plum. It looks black at first, but as you stare at it you begin to notice the shades of purple and it looks beautiful.
Well done Albion!
Thanks for a great sword.
Now then, when is that single fullered XIV going up for sale?

The Viceroy is by far my favorite sword. The blade is so pretty and yet wicked. The other day I was cleaning mine and set the point down on my rug. Under it's own weight the sword punched through the carpet and into the floor below  I'm so glad my foot wasn't there 
Anyway, I'm very curios to see how the blueing looks. Good choice with the dark plum, we may have started a trend

You have to be careful with that point. And doesn't she whistle nicely?

Yes, the tip is far sharper than I expected. I suspect that thrusts with this baby would be extremely damaging. The wider blade alone would cause increased blood flow from said wounds.
The bluing looks amazing. If the Viceroy defined ruthlessness before, the blackening makes it even more so.
I'll bring it to the round table you have in the Spring.

This is my first "real" western style sword.

whstle? you bet she does
I ran mine through some thrusting excercises today while wearing deerskin gloves. The Viceroy locks in my hands as though it were an extension of my body. I placed the point through at least 30 imaginary targets with extreme ease and the control was incredible. I truely love this sword!

Well, as I don't have a digital camera, and my funds are likely to go towards swords no pictures at this time. =(
Maybe we could get some pictures at the round table.
