I was just over at SFI, which I am not a member of , and saw something cool. A young fellow was talking with Thomas about a StageSteel Wallace sword he purchased. Is this a new model? I cannot find any info on it on their website. Maybe it's a custom one-off? I would greatly appreciate any information on this sword. I've handled SS swords before, and they are great 'beaters'. You know anything, Mac?...................MCM.

Dang it all! Now I can't even find the thread in their forums! I guess I'm better with a blade than with a computer. ..........MCM

Wow........I emailed StageSteel and got a presonal response....on a Sunday! Tis true.....They now have a Wallace and a classic Highland Great Claymore model. Both have the Stage Steel blackened iron fittings and both have black leather ricasso wrap. Both are 57 inches....wow. No word on weight yet, but I bet they are chunky. The price is right though.....$198 .....fair enough for a beater! They have also added some QUITE NICE rapier models!!! This nice lady sent me the actual page from the newest catalog they have.....that is still in print! Heck yeah! I'm impressed! I'll try to get the page posted on this thread as soon as I can. I think any of these swords, while a bit heavy, would benefit from a rewrap of the grip and a good polish job and look right at home in reenactments or Renfests. Or....just take 'em out and bash cinderblocks with 'em. Agreat stress-reliever!!!.................MCM.
