I have a repro of a flamberge rapier with a half basket style hilt. I guess it's likely to be a patchwork of some old parts laying about someones shop, but I am trying to get a bead on what time period it would fit into. I'm working on a new kit and I'm not sure if it would fit into the late 16th- early 17th centuries. Any info would be helpful and I will post pics as soon as I can get a moment.I opperate a website for my reenactment troop it's www.orderoftherouseclan.org Be sure to check out our forums www.orderoftherouseclan.proboards.com
Here are the pics. I'm not very good. It's in kind of rough shape whereas I'm working on making it fight worthy. The blade is cheap, but rather durable and I got it at a good price. I talked the dealer down to $50 from the tag price of $190.
