Very nice knives and good to have some historical background information about these dual purpose knives.
With the large butcher knife blades one can't avoid seeing these influencing some of the early American Bowie knives as a continuation of the tradition of large utility knives doubling as weapons when needed.
I guess even IF there is no direct historical link the same needs tend to produce similar designs over many centuries or even millennia: One can see parallel between seax and Bowie Knives as well as between clipped pointed Falchions and Messers.
