Hello all!

I have just finished a new article that might be of interest to sword enthusiasts:

History of the Centre of Percussion

This is of course about the history of the notion, not of the physical object itself, which for all we know has always existed Wink From the initial scientific studies to the use in late fencing manuals, the meaning of the term evolved slightly and you can only fully understand what it meant to historical people when you are aware of that evolution.

Hope you'll enjoy it! At least I've learned much while writing it Happy

Regards,

Well assembled and described Vincent. In my own understandings of the pendulum to ascertain that point on the blade, it was a thread back in 1999 with an explanation and method better than smacking pommels to watch the wave form Wink

Great stuff as always.

Cheers

Cheers Glen!

As I said, my own first contact with these ideas was the ARMA article. George Turner is really the man who unlocked the doors for me...
