Nathan Robinson has added a new sword to his collection, the Low Lander Great Sword. This is a "Great Sword" pardon the pun because I have been perusing Hanwei's catalog and noticed it straight away. It is one BIG sword! I hope that Nathan will share his impressions of his new sword with the rest of us because I for one would be really interested. I have watched the video by Cold Steel on their Great Sword and it is big too but not historically correct like the Hanwei sword. I am 6 ft. 3 inches tall and the Low Lander Great Sword is almost as tall as I am. OK, Nathan, Let's hear about it cause I really want to know as I am sure the rest of us do too. Nathan can well and truly say with this sword that his is bigger than ours.To Study The Edge of History

Hi Roger:
Thanks for the links on the discussion of this sword. From all that I have read from Nathan and others I guess this sword is not all that it is cracked up to be in the catalog. I noticed in the pictures that blade tang juncture is not radiused as it should be. Yes, as someone mentioned it is a pity that Albion doesn't make this sword. Cold Steel's sword seems the more viable choice especially if one wants to cut and use it as a pole arm.To Study The Edge of History
