Has anybody gotten up close and personal with the new Saxon Sword from Hanwei? Is it a true pattern welded sword with hammer welded edges or just a damascus blade with polished edges? How does it compare with a similar appearing sword form Windlass?
If you had to pick one, would you take the Hanwei or the Windlass? You guys have to help me because the boss just saw the Hanwei and fell in love with it, so I gotta know if it's a reasonably good piece, since most likely I'll have to get her one. Thanks.

Thanks, Luka. That was a very comprehensive review. Unfortunately the boss watched your vids with me and now really, really, really wants one. This to be expected though from someone who keeps a copy of Beowulf written in Anglo-Saxon. Guess I'm gonna be getting a new sword sometime.
