The 7th of July i've orderet an arm harness from bestarmour. At the end of August they said me that the order was delayed because Milan was in england, but he said that the work would be completed for the half of Semptember.
I've emailed them the 15th of Septermber and they told me that the ordre was delayed (again?). I continued to send emails to know how the work's going but no responses.
Is that normal? The often answer to emails one week later?

Don't know if its normal for them or not, but once in a while things like that happen to some of these small businesses. Might be they have some technology problems. Might be that somebody there got sick. Might be that everybody there got sick. Maybe there was as fire or some kind of natural disaster someplace in the chain between them and you. Could even be that you'e getting hosed (but that's usually the rarest of issues). Regardless, all you can do is try to keep contacting them without coming off like a jerk and hope for the best.

Not the ways things should be, but it is the way things sometimes are, if you want to be involved with this hobby.

Best of luck to you.

Augusto, please keep us abreast of the resolution. I've never purchased from Best Armour myself, but every review I've read on this forum and others rate their workmanship and timeliness very high. To my knowledge, your experience is an anomaly. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

i am also making an order from them this month, and after a very long period of personal reviewing they had come on the top of my list for an item i want (a very special helmet), i hope that your situation turns okay at the end, because i do not want to take another couple of years searching for a perfectly suited choice of armoursmith Happy

I received my year-old order (which was to be expected due to their estimated delivery times, so no worries here) from Best Armour just this Friday. I wouldn't worry at all when it comes to Milan's credibility - I have bought from them before and have nothing but praise to give. Communications might suffer some delay where you have to wait about a week before you get an answer back, but it will come. Happy

I follow Milan's work and plan to order from him at some point.

He has been a little slow on email recently (for which he apologized to me). I know he was doing a big project for the theatre up in Riga (the work he showed me was superb).

At any rate, do keep us apprised of your situation. His work looks to be outstanding; hopefully he can keep up with the workload.

Cheers.

To some extent, its really a shame this thread ended up titled "Problems with Best Armour".

I'm a bit disappointed in the thread title, especially coming from an Italian. Wink

I think the joke is with the name of the person " Milan " and the name of the Italian city " Milan ": In other words the joke is that an Italian should know where " Milan " the city is. Wink

Problem solved.
He is moving from Prague to a place nearer to the workshop and for this reason he had problems contacting me. The pack will probably sent in Fryday.
All's well that ends well.
