Posting a question on behalf of historian Larry Clark, who's having trouble registering here. The source of the image referenced below is not available.
I have a question which I hope someone can answer. Having completed a book tentatively entitled "The Spanish Empire in Southeast North America: 1513-1587" for McFarland & Company, I've struggled with permissions & credits for 30+ graphics. One in particular has turned into a problem. My text needs an illustration representing the "conquistadors" of North America -- those typical foot soldiers -- not the glorified paintings of Cortes or Soto. Look at the image of five soldiers at

I'm certain that similar images are from books published during the period but can not find a source. Any suggestions??
Thanks for reading this post.
