I know several people on this site know Paul McDonald or have heard of of him, but has anyone seen pictures or can share pictures of any basket hilts he has made? Henrik posted a nice Youtube of him actually handling Rob Roy McGregor's sword while undergoing restoration in Paul's shop, but outside of that - and it hardly counts - I haven't see an example or heard a report.
Anybody with more information?

Ah, well, there's his website ;-)
http://www.macdonaldarms.com/armoury/
I didn't get a chanse to handle any of his basket hilts as he didn't have any in at the time. He doesn't really keep a stock, but does custom work.
Cheers,
Henrik

I've don't know Paul MacDonald, but I have met one of his students. I got the handle a sword he made (well, a blade, the hilt was a Hanwei backsword hilt.) It seemed very well made.
