The closest I could come to this one is syrian or luristan, I don't believe this to be fake.

Ok this is only my wild guess but i think that it is from Africa, somewhere near of Egypt. I havenīt seen anything like this before. Idea If the inner side was sharpened it would have looked like an early kukri. Confused

That's a really interesting thing. Thanks for putting up all the neat stuff. I found this page trying to research out my favorite bible quote: "If you do not have a sword (machera), sell your cloak and get one." Sounds like good advice to me! http://www.thrace.0catch.com/swords_main.htm
