Has anyone seen any Metallurgical Testing results of European mail? If so what kind of test were done and who did the tests and what results etc. I am interested in having some Japanese mail or kusari tested to see if the metal used was actually a European import, relative strength, composition, if the color was really black lacquer or something else etc, and wanted to see if I could find any info of the methods used, were the tests were done and the results in order to do a fair comparison. Any leads or thoughts would be helpful.
