Hello

I'm going to have myself portraited the "medieval way". And since I'm german (Bohemian), I would like to have myself portraited in a typical german (if possible, bohemian-german) armour, and since my knowledge about plate armour is more than poor, I hope you guys could help me out with some pictures?

ps: sorry for my bad english

First you should give a time frame as armour of 1350, 1450 or 1550 would be very different but as a general suggestions for anything between 1450 and 1500 a classic Gothic german armour would be good.

This might help:

May I suggest that since most people do not know one period from another, let alone one style of armour from another, that unless you have a particular time period in mind, that you post a photo of yourself the way you want to look in this portrait. Since the preferred hair styles, facial hair, body shape all changed as they went in and out of fashion over time, A photo of you would be a better guide for the choice of armour. This way a style of armour can be selected that best suits your "style" so the portrait will look more correct.
