Michael, mate, I see a new sword obsession developing in your near future...
In regards to your query about Chinese Battle Dress, there is a well-known picture floating around... I just took the link from the first one that came up on Google.

My favourite form of Chinese armour is the incredible "Mountain Pattern Scale", which I personally think is the finest armour design of it's type in the world. I once found an Eastern European Armourer who seemed keen to make me some in Qing Dynasty "Red Flag Army" officer's dress style, but then I never heard from him again...

I just posted some (fuzzy) pics of a Chinese longsword in the "your last sword" thread. Given the specs, I'm not at all surprised to see Chinese long sword use looking like European longsword use.

Wow. That Chinese longsword work looks awesome. I'm generally impressed with Scott Rodell's work, though his spinning move in one video makes me laugh. His partner does absolutely nothing to take advantage of the fairly huge opening.
