Hoowdy all!

Im getting married soon and the honeymoon is 2 weeks in Italy. I have been looking around for good places to go to see swords, but I thought I ask around and see what people know. Sometimes a museum will say it has arms and arm, but its nothing really to write home about. I don't what to waste time since seeing castles and armories isn't high on my bride to be's list of things to do. We are going to Roman, Naples, Florence, Isle of Capri. I would really appriacite any input or past experiences! Thanks everyone.

You MUST visit the Stibbert Museum. MUST!

When I was in Italy a couple of years ago the Bargello's a&a collection was closed. The VA collection was closed in the same period. The Art Institute apparently has reduced or eliminated its famous a&a displays. These days, unfortunately, it's a good idea to check museum web sites before you plan your trip to make sure arms and armour collections are still on display. I doubt you'd have any problem with Stibbert, Wallace, Met, etc., but checking is easy and will save you some frustration.
