Does anyone know where I can find "The Acts and Deeds of Sir William Wallace, Knight of Elderslie" by Harry the Minstrel (Blind Harry)? I need it for a paper. Whether hard copy or PDF or what have you, anything will do nicely. Thanks in advance.

You can also find parts of the poem, with an introduction, at www.mostly-medieval.com. This site has the poem translated into modern English, but a cursory review seems to indicate that the entire text is not there.

You guys never let me down! Big Grin Thanks very much!!! I'm doing a research paper about William Wallace for an English class. We have to use literary work with historical basis and then investigate and discuss the historical significance behind it. My professor is an idiot. He's trying to tell me that William Wallace is, "a bit too much like King Arthur. He populates tall tales and legends but little to no credible historical facts are available about him." He seems to think that William Wallace didn't even exist. I honestly think that he just wants me to do one of the suggested topics so that he doesn't have to do the research to grade my paper.

Also try looking for the old form titles:

The Actes and Deidis of the Illustre and Vallyeant Campioun Schir William Wallace or just The Wallace.

EDIT: Oops...I see someone linked to the *pdf above already. My bad! Happy
