I would appreciate it if you know your stuff before answering and don't just echo stuff you've heard from others which may turn out to be incorrect. I say this because I have done similar mistakes in the past.

With that out of the way I have three main questions.

1. How big portion of a general Landsknecht regiment would actually be armored?

2. Is there any evidence of them using their infamous hats in battle? And if yes, is there any evidence of them wearing a skullcap or similar helmet under them if they would be armored? I am quite a fan of the Greatsword look in Warhammer Fantasy, which is why I ask.

3. In the case of a Doppelsöldner, would he be armored in full plate or just be a bit more armored than his 'regular' mates?

I don't know much about the Landsknecht and appreciate all info I can get.

Correcting misconceptions with misconceptions is not the greatest idea and should seek to be avoided at all costs.
