Any one interested in a Cal cutting party?
The place is Bakersfield the time before July, this will be open for any type of sword person with any sword as long as it is safe.
Please bring some cutting victims and drinks will plane on Bar-B-Q for lunch and just good fun.
Who’s in?
May you live as long as you want but never want for as long as you live

Also wanted to say that I plan on getting some old car doors for those that want to bring there armour crackers (Mace, hammer, poll-axe, etc...) And we can do some thrust testing as well, I got my hands on some cardboard tubes that might do fine.
Have we enticed you yet?

Hey Bill,
PM me your address so I can put it into MapQuest, just want to see how far away you live.
I want to go, but the old Jeep of mine may have trouble over long distances...
How can there be a perfect sword when PEOPLE come in all shapes and sizes too?

In light of recent events I am bumping this.
I am sure that everyone knows about the passing of Don Nelson and as many have already said I will repeat. I wish I had met him and I am sorry that I have not met others of our rather small community.
The thing that I will say here about Don Nelson was the fact that he was a knowledge sponge as well as what the Lakota called a “Pipe-man” for those that don’t know what this means is a person that when theirs was any dispute between individuals in the tribe he would bring a pipe for both to share and bring harmony back to the community, this described Don to a tee and I think we should all do more to emulate him in this respect.
Those of us who are into this arms and armour lifestyle of collecting and use are a very small community and have had our ups and downs and I see any chance to get together and share information and get to know one another as a good thing for us all.
