HELP! I am in the process of doing research into cloth barding and clothing for soldiers and knights. There is extensive research on armor but I have not found as much on the cloth items such as caparisons, etc. I am interested in both the construction and design aspects for a company I am starting. I have found some great pictures but wonder if there have been any books written or if anyone has used these items and has input on what works and what doesn't. Your help and advice is greatly appreciated.
