Some pictures (by me) from the event “Bellum Viritim – Battle around Ortenburg Castle”, Austria, 1st of May till the 3rd of May 2009. Around 500 atendants, more than 160 tents, groups from 10 countries... Big Grin

I had really great time, camp was around 800 m above sea level, so it was pretty cold during evenings and mornings. My group (Fellowship of the Golden Spur from Slovenia) was planning a bit bigger attendance, but several people canceled, so it was only 5 of us.

Enjoy!

Hey Blaz!
Thanks for the way cool pictures. I doubt I'm the only one here in the US who'd appreciate being on an
old Austrian battlefield wearing my kit. I think we see one of the Hapsburg's downfall's in your pictures. It's
doubtful at the time many knew smoking cigarettes did more than accompany a well deserved post combat
break.......

Now, if the Austrians could only get Turkish tobacco...... Wink

That will be a bit hard, since next event will be (hopefully) in 2011. It's not an annual thing, last one was in 2005. I believe organisers (Condottieri Mauriziani 1475) are too busy to organise it every year.
