My armour class blade (which I have an unhealthy and disturbing love for) gets sharper along the length of the blade. Being the parrying part of the blade this makes some sense. I was wondering if this is reflected in the majority of historical backswords. I notice that both wylde and hope mention (show in hope's case) taking the opponents sword by the forte in order to effect disarms.
cheers
