Hi everyone! What a great site!

So as someone who is brand new to antique sword collecting, I could use a little help. I'm really interested in French
Sabers from the Napoleonic Wars (proper, 1792-1815) especially the Russian invasion of 1812. My problem is that it
seems to be really hard to tell which of these swords are actually from Napoleon's army v.s. all of the German, Turkish, etc. styles after the fact, plus the French swords of the next 15-50 years after the fact. Is there any way to tell the
actual Napoleonic swords from all the others?

Thanks for all the help. Can't wait to get started!
