Might be a silly question but has anyone ever played the Medieval Alliance board game from Arms and Armor? It looks interesting and maybe fun. Something maybe I can play with my wife and daughter once and a while. Is it really complicated, my daughter is five and my wife is not as much into history as I am but if it is fun and not to hard maybe they would enjoy it.

Hi James

My two daughters have played it quite a bit. They started when they were 10 and 12. They could play it on their own from the start and had a good time. The kids at the Oakeshott Knight for a Day camp have played it a bot as well and liked it. I think it maybe a touch old for a 5 year old but by 7 they should be able to get it pretty well I think. One plays a knight errant who must search out several items and present them as gifts to a neighboring king for his Lord.

Best
Craig

Thanks, it looks like a pretty fun game with lots of learning to boot. I think I'll go ahead and get and maybe she will grow into it, Happy

James,
We are the creators of Medieval Alliance. We are a homeschooling family originally based in Reston, VA (we recently moved to MD). We developed the game just over 2 years ago and so far have sold over 450 copies and have received many rave reviews (most feedback has been by purchasers but also by two actual product reviewers within the homeschool community).

I would agree with Craig that the game is geared more toward 7and up (9+ if they don't have someone older to help them with the reading on the Chance cards). That said: My youngest just turned 6 yesterday. He enjoys playing the game with us, but he is also very into board games (and anything to do with adventure).

Take care,
Andrea

Oops...we developed the game just over *three* years ago, not two.

Take care,
Andrea
