Hello all,
I've been working on a project for a while now called The Fightschool. It's designed as an online resource for the early HEMA practitioner (13th-17th century) combining a list of manuscripts, published works, listings and reviews of equipment and manufacturers, a blog, organization finder, and a place to share training exercises, drills, etc.
I feel like the website has finally come for a place for me to humbly ask those of you in the community to contribute, if you can.
I spent a little while recently putting up all I knew of in regard to waster manufacturers and their products. That page is located here: http://thefightschool.org/WASTERS.html
If you don't mind, take a look through and let me know if there is a manufacturer or product you use and I will list it ASAP.
I will be expanding and listing practice swords (federschwerter) as well as other equipment (bucklers, staves, clothing) as I have the time - hopefully in the coming week!
Best,
Michael Olsen

I just took a quick look-around on your site. Very nice! I look forward to exploring it more fully in the future.

Thanks Ken!
Let me know if there's anything I can add to make it a better resource!

Grand-tastic idea (I now own all rights to that word :| )! I'll have to scour it in more detail and see if I know a few obscure ones that aren't a front for another site.

Great. You've just broken the first two rules of Fightschool.
Seriously though, that's a very handy tool. I look forward to exploring it more. It's been a while since I was in the market for a waster and it looks like there are several new options out there now. Thanks!

Very nice site. I particularly liked the video of the poleaxe plays. I recently moved to the Atlanta area and have studied HEMA for a number of years most recently with the Schola Saint George. Nice to see more folks in the Georgia area. Again thanks for the great resource.

Michael;
Thanks for your efforts. Looks like Lynn Thompson will be getting a bit more of my loot.

Hello all,
Thanks for all the positive commentary! I really appreciate it!
I've been working on this project some more and would like to ask for assistance with practice weapons (steel and aluminum trainers).
I have a listing available here that more or less exhausts my knowledge of vendors. If you or your group uses a sword not on that list and think it should be, please let me know and I'll add it on as soon as possible.
The reviews will be going up as I get the time to collate them and post them, and I would be more than happy to take personal statements from any practitioners.
Thanks again!
Michael
