Hello myArmoury Community!
I would like to share with everyone my latest project. This is my own personal sword, in which I decided to turn into a family sword. In doing so I'm starting a tradition of passing the sword down to my first born son when he starts his own family.
The scabbard features wool strips, custom two-tone coloring, and the family name inscribed just above the chape amongst the tooling. All the decor is aged, with a intentional but subtle aging of the scabbard all around.
It is also the first time I've attempted a double-wrap belt integral suspension system. The top half sits higher on the waist tight, while the lower half rests loose on the hip. This allows for a quick draw system, and allows the wearer to relax the scabbard at an angle in order to sit down if need be. It's my personal favorite.

If there were a drool smiley I would have used that. Truly stupendous work Brian. I know you say that you strive to better your last scabbard with each new one but I am unsure how you will do that after posting this one. A truly worthy scabbard for not only a great sword but for a great purpose as well.

My updates on the "workbench" have been a little slow of late. But never-the-less, I'm working the same pace I always do.
I've got a Solingen on tap next with some pictures to come.

This is very impressive work Brian, you seem to have progressed remarkably in a short period of time. I love you balance of function and aesthetic.
Hmmmmm...............................a discussion concerning my incoming Vigil may be in order.

Ah yes, the Vigil. I've been thinking about ordering one of those myself. I've got all these choices and so many wonderful swords to choose from, and then Albion introduces another one...

Well, that would certainly be a good sales technique as I wouldn't have to send you my sword.
