Thanks JD
Luka - Typical, right when I think I've decided on the five lobed, I get a glowing review for the Leuterit I'll need to think that one through, cause I do really like the both of them. What initially put me off the leuterit was that in all the pictures I've seen, the blade looked squint...
David - To be honest it's not a matter of me thinking that it WOULD get confiscated, but customs has seized some ridiculous things. I recall hearing on another forum about a lovely mammoth ivory and silver-bolstered folder with a fileworked damascus blade getting seized! There was also a fella who got his automatic centre-punch seized because they considered it an auto-knife. While these are obviously not a sword, it just goes to show that they'll pretty much seize whatever they want to, regardless of how likely it is to be used illegally (or regardless of whether it's really illegal) so I'd really just rather not risk it There's also quite a few taxes that they "might" hit you with. They're rare, but they can crop up sometimes and I'd rather not have to deal with them. If the value of the pound hadn't dropped so much, I'd probably just do it since it would still be a bargain, but not until it raises again
Atb!
Pete

I have only heard good stuff about The Knights Shop and how helpful they are.I do know they have a workshop and this up's the range of what they can alter to fit the bill.
I know a couple of people who have had their Del Tin swords "breathed on" -re temperd and re hilted by them (they were very wobbly) and they are going on fine.
Brian is the man there for info, and James for tec metal working stuff.
Good Luck with your choice!
