yeah thats why you should never buy a cheap sword unless you know its specs

This is quite an old video, but it is worth watching again; it os good te be reminded (at another's expense) that the poorest metal is still tougher than your hide.

The term "battle ready" is so poorly defined to the general public and thrown around so loosely by fleamarket vendors that it's lost any meaning at all. This would be bad enough for products that aren't sharp metal, but claiming a level of performance that isn't there and setting an expectaion that could literally kill someone is criminal in my mind.
