Could anyone let me know what kind of manufacturing processes were ued to produce standard service military swords from 1910 onwards?

Was is a mostly mass production / factory manufacture?

Thanks.

I refuse to have a battle of wits with someone who is unarmed.

The question reminds me of this WKC/Solingen video:

http://www.wkc-solingen.de/newshop/TV.html

the processes shown there are modern (early 21st century), of course, and I don't know how well they'd relate to sword-making practices of the early 20th century.
