There are still some Oakeshott sword types that Albion has left out of the Next Generation lineup. Which missing type would you like to see them develop next? My vote goes to type XIII, though an XVIIIa would also be welcome.
Yes, the Tritonia is a XIIIb, but it isn't a Next Generation model.

The XIII with double fullers that there is a drawing of in their Oakeshott typology should really be made into a sword. I'd pre-order that one today if it was announced.

I'd love to see Albion do an XIa. It's such a cool type. Not overly long, but wide and with a narrow fuller could look so cool. A type XIII wouldn't be bad either.

Greyson, I second the vote for that double fullered XIII. However, I'd also love to see an XVIIIa(or c) based on the example in the Met. I believe they already had a blade programmed for their First Generation Rouen.....and if I remember correctly Peter was talking about using new hilt components for it to create a Next Gen Model.

Just to be different, I say they should move beyond the Oakeshott types and start offering swords from other cultures. An Albion jian, turkish saber, shamshir, or medieval Islamic sword would be very tempting to me.

A simplified Next Gen version of XX.4 from Records would be perhaps the coolest thing ever.

With 52 responses, this poll seems about done. Type XIII is the definite choice, so Albion please take note 
I found an old thread - http://www.myArmoury.com/talk/viewtopic.php?t...=headsmans - wherein Peter Johnsson writes, Type XIII swords could perhaps be described as headsmans swords built for war. The character of the type is broad in the blade, not too long and a grip with room for two hands
I'd like to have one of those.

If your vote was XVIIId, there were almost three for that choice, but, since I only had one vote, I had to go with the "c" - just barely! If you were one of the two "a" votes, that was my third choice - something about the various type XVIIIs that is just so damn sexy!

I would like to see another type XI with a more narrow and deeper fuller than the Ritter.
Something with a tea cozy pommel would be excellent.

I would also be interested in other blade forms, rapiers for example... Seems like a natural development after the recent compound hilts that appeared in the line-up. And there has to be a sharp matching the Capoferro in the Maestro line
In this regard I guess XVIIId is the closest...

Type XIII wins? Seriously? Albion already has four of Type XIIIa. I guess I'm not exactly alone in wanting to see such an amazing company try their hand in entirely new directions... but we do seem to be outnumbered. 
Just think of it... an Albion schiavonna. It would be glorious.

I voted for a type XXI because it would be nice to see a cinquedea type hilt and it should be easy enough to make a large dagger sized one 15" to 20 as well as short sword sized of the 20" to 24" range in adittion to the longer 25" to 30" sword length.
Well, having a Tritonia helps my motivate my vote.

Hardly suprising XIII is a winner as it is a distinctive and rarer example.
I voted for XVIIIc. PJ's description of them has me sold. I would like to see one with a wheel pommel and ribbon guard like the sketch on Albions Oakeshott typology on line article page.

I would like to see a type XVa with a reinforced tip for puncturing mail. Most of the XVa's I see are not stiff enough.
