Can anyone tell me what they think the nationality of this sword is? I think it is early 19th cen.

Are there any markings on the blade you could show us? Is the pommel figure a lion or a bear? A photo of that would also be nice.

I am not sure but it looks like Austria artielry Sabre 1828. Scabbard is archaic older Ungary type, leather on girp is like Austrian sabre after 1850. If it is not army type it is possible individual dressing sabre from 1848 revolution year in Austria and Ungaria.
There is only one art of fence yet many ways to reach it
