For my wedding at the end of this year I am planning, if I manage to find the time, to make myself a rapier as a dress sword.
Problem is these kind of blades are way out of the time period I usually work in. So I don't really have good picture sources at hand.
I remembered a drawing in the article "Anatomy of the sword", which is showing a hilt which would please me (see below, the one on the far left).
A similiar hilt can be seen on top of every myArmoury page:
Are there any high quality photos of this reproduction?
Is it even a reproduction of an existing original. If so, do any of you know where i might be able to find it.
Any advise on a rapier-blade with a similar hilt would be highly appreciated.
