I recently got to handle an Albion Meyer and I really liked what they used for the cord wrap. Anyone know what it is/ what it is called? And where I can get some.
I haven't liked what I've found so far for making cord wraps and have used para-cord because it at least works well.
Thanks,

If I'm not mistaken, its hemp cord. It can be found in any local craft or hobby shop. I know that JoAnn Fabrics and Hobby Lobby carry it; as do some Walmarts (look by the fabrics).

There seems to be a few tricks to it. I used hemp on a walking staff grip, and it left fibers embedded in the leather that I consider very difficult to remove. Peter Johnson had mentioned fine twine, sometimes found in stationary stores, as being his preference for the outer surface wrap.Absence of evidence is not necessarily evidence of absence!
