Sorry - I tried to do this via the "contact" form, but got this message:

Ran into problems sending Mail. Response: 502 unimplemented (#5.5.1)

So I don't know if it went through.

Also got the same message when trying to PM another member.

I've noticed that the only two PMs I've attempted to send are sitting in my "Outbox" folder, with nothing in my "Sent" folder (one composed on 2/1, the other today (2/6)). Is this as it should be, or does this mean that my intended recipients did not get their messages?

I swear that I hit the "send" button, and I'm not known for being entirely stupid (only partially Big Grin ) so I hope I know how to send a PM!

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Well at least I'm not alone. I just received the same message. I've also had some problems recently just getting messages to appear on the boards.

Well, I'm not sure about the error message, but typically messages sit in the outbox until they are read by the recipient. Then they move to the sentbox.
Hope this helps,
Dan

I'm having a bunch of issues with the server. I've put in a couple dozens hours of the last few days, but I'm juggling it with work so I'm doing what I can to get things stable again. My job is, of course, number one priority but I'll keep plugging away as I can.

I heard from other sources that you worked on it all night and had to go to work without sleep. Eek! Sad

I avoided and still avoiding sending you e-mails about it as I'm sure that each time there is a problem on the site you are doing your best to clear things up. ( good idea if people don't all e-mail Nathan when there is a problem as I assume that replying would just add to his stress level ...... Just a suggestion for now or future downtimes ).

Is it a " normal " hardware/software/server problem or a deliberate hacking/denial of service attack or virus
or Bot/Spam thing ?

Anyway, just my thanks for all the work you put in keeping this site working, and hope this helps. Wink Big Grin

Just know that any time the site is down I'm sitting here yelling and cursing trying to get it fixed. Happy
