Is there currently available a reference work for modern swordsmiths' maker's marks? It would be handy (at least from my perspective) to be able to reference marks found on replica swords and weapons purchasable in the "marketplace".

I know such references exist for historical smiths and their weaponry. I was just hoping one may exist for the plethora of modern smiths creating replica and original weapons.

Cheers.

I started to collect pics of stamps last year, but the project was put on the backburner. Maybe if there were several contributors, we could build a modern makers stamps database fairly quick.

I was thinking along those lines, too, Bjorn. With all the folks on the site that collect, in addition to all the makers that frequent here, it may very well take little time.

I just thought such a reference would be handy, whether it existed already or whether one was created by interested collectors and fanciers. If there were any smiths (ie: Albion, Vince Evans, Arms & Armor, Del Tin et al) that were willing to contribute their marks, both past and present, I think it would be a great benefit in the construction of a list.
