Hi, people.
I'm writing a small article on the "warrior concept" for reeactment fighters. In short, it encourages everyone to acquire and learn to use the full "combat loadout" for their age.
Basically, this would mean spear, sword/axe, shield and knife in varying forms from 800-13soemthing, polearm/two handed spear, longsword/sword and buckler/ heater and dagger from 13something to 15something.
I'm looking for pictures to illustrate fully equiped soldiers form different eras: Viking/dark age, early medevial, high medevial, late medevial and early renaissance.
I would apreciate some tips and contributions
"this [fight] looks curious, almost like a game. See, they are looking around them before they fall, to find a dry spot to fall on, or they are falling on their shields. Can you see blood on their cloths and weapons? No. This must be trickery."
