Well now I did it...
I've been procrastinating on my order of the Svante Nilson Sture sword from the folks out at Albion, because I was concerned about another project I've got working coming due. However the other one won't be ready for some time (neither will the Sture as far as that goes) so feeling flush with cash I placed my order. Turns out there has not to many of them ordered yet, so there's still time you guys. I'd feel a lot more flush with cash if I hadn't just ordered 400 dollars worth of leather as well. (Hurts you when you realize that could have been a sword.) So it's done and now I've got to crank out some scabbards! I've got a fairly significant announcement coming up as well so stay tuned.

Is being 'flush with cash' contagious? If so I'd like to pay you a visit. The Svante is a nice one, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. For myself, i think it is growing very likely that it will be a space of literally years before i buy a new sword, if my finances don't turn around. That ain't cool....

Congrats Russ.
The original Svante is an incredible sword, one of my all time favorites. I'm sure that the Albion version will be just as nice.

Thanks Patrick, I don't know if congratulations are in order or not, any darned fool can spend money and it will be far and away the most I've spent on a sword. Glad I can nickel and dime it to them hopefully before they have it completed. I may have to reduce the rest of my collection some more I'm not sure. Depends on how many scabbards I can get out the door.

Hey Russ,
Speaking of that, send me an e-mail and let me know where I am on your waiting list.
Thanks.
Gordon
Oh - and congrats - figured that was what you were doing when you unloaded your "inspired by" version of that sword.

Hey Gordon,
I'll do that, I believe you are getting pretty close, I've had a lot of people cancel lately for one reason or another, which is good news for the folks that were after them in the line. Also last year in the time frame that I'm currently working in there were a bunch of LOTR fans ordering stuff for their Narsils or Andurils or whatever and most of them bailed, so that's freed up the list some.
I hated to part with that sword, it really was very nice, but I don't really need two of them.
