My first post here so be patient with me. I was looking for a 17th century sword that a rogue/pirate would use for a ren faire costume. I came across one from Windlass called a Captain Jack sword and was wondering if anyone has seen or reviewed this sword yet and how historicaly accurate it is. I would also like to know if this sword is of any good quality or is there some other weapon that you would know of that would suite my purpose. I don't just want a prop, I want this sword to be useable.

Do you mean this sword, Windlass #500968? If this is the one, you should ask over at www.swordforum.com. I know one of the members over there recently bought this sword.
Here is another place to look - better quality - http://www.gggodwin.com/

Thanks for the links, I've heard of the sword forum but haven't gone there yet. And yes that's the sword, it might do for my needs, godwin has some nice ones too.
