I have the opinion that for a sport to be included in the olympics, the olympics should be considered the most prestigious competition for that sport.
Which is why I believe Tennis, Golf, probably Rugby and definitely Soccer should not be included.
Especially Soccer because FIFA speciifcally limited the number of top professionals who could take part in the olympics because they did not want it to rival the world cup. This essentially made it a competition of 2nd teams.
Now Women's Soccer on the other hand, not having those limitations and not having any other competition with anywhere near the exposure and prestige of the olymics definately should have been included (and was a great competition).
(by the way, I'd be ok with those sports appearing in different formats to the main competitions - eg. five-a-side soccer etc.)
Also, I think Darts should be classed as a sport since archery and shooting both are.

I'd like to see Sword and Buckler. At one time it was widely engaged in as a sport in Europe. I don't think the Winter Olympics need as many countries to practice it to make it eligible - so maybe it could be done outside in a snowy field.
