I'm not sure if Albion is still using 1075, I heard rumors that they switched since then and are using 6150 but coming from the rumor mill this may be wrong. In any event 54 average HRC is right where the hardness should be with modern heat treating and the destructive test videos demonstrate their toughness to my satisfaction.
