I have access to many types of Samurai chainmail and armor clothing, I can provide detailed pictures of the chainmail, armor, fabric etc. showing how they were constructed and attached. I have detailed pictures of hoods, gloves, jackets, shoes etc also and would like to see any pictures of the same kind of items that anyone here might have.

Interesting, it looks like the plates in the last picture have been tinned?

The picture is from a chainmail and iron plate hood or helmet, the iron plates are lacquer coated, I am not sure if the plates were treated in some way before the lacquer was applied, the chainmail was also coated in some way, supposedly with lacquer but I cant imagine the method that someone could have used to coat the individual chainmails with lacquer.
