Hi,

I've not really been active in the community for a while. The last time I spoke to Vladimir Cervenka (www.sword.cz) was a decade ago, and I can tell his website hasn't changed much since. So has anyone spoken to him recently and know if he's still in business?

Thanks.

Regards,

Sonni

Phew - good to hear that. :)

Would you mind letting me know which email you used to contact him with?

Those of you who recently received orders from him, how long did you have to wait from start to finish?

I Western Unioned him my payment on 2/15. The payment arrived in his account on 2/23. He notified me that he had shipped the dagger on 5/20. I'll post about it when it arrives. I had him leave off the grip because I like to do my own in Mammoth ivory (for all of my applicable weapons), so it may have gone a little bit faster than normal.

Karl, do you have any pictures of it? Always looking for new messers ;)

Hi Karl,

That's a nice messer. :) I just found out his current delivery time is about a year still. I assume you're happy with your purchase and thought it was worth the wait?

My quillon/knightly dagger came today. I must have screwed up the unit conversion because I had somehow been expecting a 12" blade that I would have been able to maybe sheath on to my custom shoulder rig. It is actually a 15" blade. At 21", over all, my holdout skill is going to need to be bumped up a bit to conceal it;-) It is longer than any sparring dagger I have ever sparred with as well. I am doing a lot of looking at it from different angles and going "hmmm":-|
I am satisfied with it though. It is, in all other ways, what I expected.
