Hello
I was just wondering if anyone out there in myArmoury land had any experience with these as I am currently considering them as a modestly priced piece of hand protection for steel reenactment,SCA and HEMA (link below)

Based on the stats given for the materials and the general design of the gauntlets, they should work well for most forms of modern sports combat. I fought a few SCA practices in a pair of steel clamshell gauntlets of similar design that were probably not as protective. They are also very inexpensive, so at least it will be no surprise if they are not perfect!

Nope. If you end up buying it, you might be the first of us to do so, so we'd be depending on your reviews to judge its suitability.

The thing that jumps out at me is that the gauntlets don't fully encircle the wrists. You'd have to fix that to use them for SCA fighting. If I was going to use them for HEMA, I'd want to cover that gap as well, at least for tournaments and hard sparring. Now, I must admit that in 20 years of SCA fighting, I can only think of being hit on the inside of the wrist a half dozen times.
