Hello,

I am searching for pictures of straight bladed, one handed messers. Most one-handed messers I can find have the falchion-like curved blade.....
Can someone help me?

Thank you,
Martin

Thank you so far. These pictures are great, because I am especially searching for pictures of period examples because most of the straight-bladed examples I have found were modern made.
I would really love to see more historical examples, also on paintings.

Here is a straight one, the hilt looks like a Breugel messer.

Nice find.

Curious, do you know if the nagel is forge welded (one piece with) the hilt, or is it riveted through the hilt/blade, as is typical for messer?

Seems like riveted through.
