Hello,
I was wondering if anybody was making Roman style knives like this one? http://www.eriding.net/media/photos/history/r...w2_051.jpg

I'd be interested in finding one along these lines.
Thanks
Rob

Ooh, I like those, and they are a piece of cake to make. Some of the oldest iron/steel knives known from 12th-11th century BC Cyprus and the Aegean are almost identical to the one shown. Such basic and practical tool designs can have very long lifespans.

I saw one on Hector Cole's website. I'm waiting for him to get back to me.

Hello

I recently finsihed this one (1075 steel, boxwood plates), and would be happy to make more though the price range can't be compared to what the link above offers.

And it has seen use - the new owner* managed to cut himself (but he's known for his buterfingerness anyway) while taking part in this project :

(Sorry, both websites are in French)

Cheers
