Here is a picture of my new helmet from Thorkil. It is beautifully made and finished. Grzegorz also made me a copy of the Tuna belt which I will try to include. I have dealt with Thorkil for some time now and all his work is faultless. I recommend him very highly.

It is GREAT! Could you post a picture from the inside of the helm?

My goodness!

Could you provide a close-up of the panels? I can't imagine how much time and effort went into this beautiful helm. It is truly amazing.

That is great. I really need to add one of those to my collection. Makes you wonder just who the original owner of the helm was. Must have been a mighty king. Shame we don't know more about the Vendel finds.

Thanks everyone, for the favorable comments( WOW). Olivier and Scott, I will try and get some close shots and one of the interior of the helmet sometime this weekend.
Over the next year I will be getting more of the Vendel era weapons and clothing, so will post as I get them.

Sorry I haven't had the time yet to take some pictures, but will soon.
I thought I would throw in some close-ups of the belt.
It is silver with enamel on the buckle and is an exact replica of the original.
Hope you enjoy.

I thought I better show where the inspiration came from. Thorkil did an incredible job.
