I have a friend looking to purchase a medieval crossbow (100 years war) however, I really don't shoot crossbows so I don't know who to suggest for such a thing.

So, any recommendations for a quality period crossbow?

WOW, I had not seen the crossbow thread for Tod's STUFF but HOLY MOTHER OF SWEET BABY JESUS! that is one HOT crossbow!
