Going to be there next weekend for Oktoberfest.

Anything in particular I should make it a point to see? I've heard the Stadtmuseum is good, other than that......ideas?

We're also going to Dachau.

The Bayerisches Nationalmuseum is supposed to have some nice arms and armour, including the inspiration for Albion's Munich sword.

If you're into the technical side of things, the Deutsches Museum is also enjoyable. If you like good food and good music, check out the Waldwirtschaft Jazzbiergarten; "Die Wawi".

The museum for Ancient History has fantastic objects displayed. It is just by the Bayerisches Nationalmuseum.
But, from the site, it seems to be closed to the 6 October.
Next time perhaps? It is a Must to see.

Are you staying put in Munich? If you have time head up to Rothenberg in northern Bavaria. It's a great place to sight see just for the medievel buildings and the Medieval Crime and Punishment Museum (Mitelalterliches Kriminal Museum)
is facinating. Then try a Schneeball, this is a hefty pastry and makes swell balast agaisnt later bier enjoyment. Wish I was going to the 'Fest next week!

Zum Wohl!

No, this is a one day hit and run, and the only shot I get at it, in a few months I will be back in the U.S.
