there are a couple odd pommel types in the paulus kal plates. i have attached a few below. the fist question that pops into mind is how was it peened?
also take note of the leather at the base of the blade. leather is present on all the long swords, a few of which are clearly rain guards but on most it is rectangular and could very well represent a wraped ricasso. i think they all represent rain guards personaly but i'm throwing it out there any way.
anything thoughts
