Yesterday, I received a special colour catalogue from Faganarms. Apparently, they have just received the private collection of swords from a gentleman who recently passed away, and they are putting the collection up for sale. The catalogue itself is 11 pages, all colour, featuring photographs of the hilts and descriptions of the swords for sale.
All of the swords are beautiful, but swords from the 18th and 19th century are really out of my area of interest. Most of the swords in the collection are small swords. A few are sabers or hangers, and I believe a couple are infantry pattern swords.
So, if you are interested in having a chance to purchase one of these swords, or if you are simply interested in a colour catalogue with photos from a private collection, just send me a PM. I'll mail it to the first person who contacts me.
